How to Manage Bulk Order Fulfillment With Uphance

Fulfilling bulk orders works differently from retail order fulfillment and offers many benefits. With Uphance, you can seamlessly fulfill bulk orders automatically, or in just a few clicks.

For instance, you can create pick tickets for an unlimited amount of orders. You can also partially fulfill bulk orders where your available stock is insufficient. While bulk order fulfillment on Uphance can be automatic and seamless, much of this depends on your configurations in your inventory settings.

Fulfillment Management

Once you’ve properly configured your inventory settings, you may proceed to fulfillment.

  • Navigate to the Order Management Section on the left-hand side of your Uphance Dashboard.

  • Click Order Management to see a list of functionalities.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and Click Fulfillment.

  • From the Fulfillment panel, use the filters at the top of the page to select a channel to view orders that are ready for fulfillment. Click Apply to proceed.

  • For instance, adjust the channel to your Wholesale channel to see all your wholesale orders that are ready for fulfillment. You could also check the relevant box to see orders from all warehouses and click the Apply button.

Auto Fulfillment

Once you’ve adjusted the filters to meet your specific requirements, you should see a complete list of all your orders waiting to be fulfilled. To set your fulfillment on autopilot, you can configure Uphance to either Auto Fulfill Ready”, or Auto Fulfill All.

  • Navigate to the top right of your Fulfillment panel and click Actions.

  • From the drop list, select Auto Fulfill Ready to create pick tickets for styles where stock is available to fulfill orders. Set a Start Ship date to auto fulfill orders that are ready and click the Save button.

  • Select Auto Fulfill All to automatically create pick tickets for all styles. With this option, the Uphance system will automatically allocate stock based on the order date, cancel ship date, start ship date, and customer priority.

  • Select Start ship date to auto fulfill all orders.

  • You may also select the option to delete all draft pick tickets.

Manual Fulfillment Process

Note that even when you opt to use manual fulfillment, you may still use the Auto Fulfill Ready button to automatically fulfill orders that you have stock for. Manual fulfillment is essential in situations where available stock is insufficient perhaps because a manufacturer was unable to complete production.

Once an order is received and confirmed.

  • Navigate to the Order Management section on the left-hand side of your Uphance Dashboard.

  • Click Order Management to see a list of functionalities.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the list and Click Fulfillment.

  • From the Fulfillment panel, use the filters at the top of the page to select a channel to view orders that are ready for fulfillment. Click Apply to proceed. For instance, adjust the channel to your Wholesale channel to see all your wholesale orders that are ready for fulfillment

  • From the list of available orders, locate the order that you’d like to fulfill.

  • Navigate to the right-hand side of the order and click Plan. This should pop up a new page that allows you to select specific aspects of the order to fulfill.

  • Select the style, confirm quantities, and click the Create Pick Tickets button to proceed.
