How Uphance-Shopify Integration Works
After connecting your Uphance account to your Shopify store, you'll have the option to push products and orders both ways.
For products in Uphance and Shopify that are "linked" the inventory levels in Shopify can be kept up-to-date with inventory levels in Uphance, allowing you to sell your excess inventory through your online store.
Uphance also monitors sales that are made on your Shopify store. Each time you make a sale on Shopify, the inventory level in Uphance will be automatically updated to reflect the deduction in stock. This makes Uphance one of the best fashion ERP solutions.
How to Integrate Uphance With Shopify
Integrating Uphance with Shopify is a straightforward process. To do so, navigate to Apps >> All Apps and add the Shopify app. Once you've added it, you are now ready to configure the integration.
The first step in the configuration process is to log into your Shopify account. You can do that on another tab on your browser. After logging in, return to the Uphance. Click the configure button, followed by the Uphance Apparel ERP.
Upon clicking, you will be redirected to your Shopify page. From there, install the Uphance app like so:
If the connection was successful, you should see something similar to this:
Do you have other Shopify stores you also want to connect to Uphance? Simply repeat the integration process over again.
Giving Your Store Name
By default, when you connect your Shopify store to Uphance, it will be named "Shopify" by default. Now, this wouldn't be much of a problem if you intend to connect only one store. Otherwise, labelling all stores "Shopify" would become confusing.
Thankfully, you can give your stores a unique name by entering it in the Friendly store name field.
Don't forget to hit the Save button at the top right corner when you are done.
Automatically Sycing Inventory/Orders from Uphance to Shopify
With your Shopify store connected to Uphance, the next thing you will want to do now is to enable automatic stock/order syncing.
To do so, toggle these two buttons on:
Stock Quantities to Sync to Shopify
Product quantities are of two broad types in Uphance: Available and Available from stock. Available refers to the products you have on hand (excluding those purchased by customers already) and those in transit.
Available from stock only takes account of products you have on hand. Mathematically speaking:
Available = Stock on hand + Awaiting - Committed stock
Available from stock = Stock on hand - Committed stock.
If you chose, for example, Available from stock, Shopify will only display stock you have on hand, excluding those that have been committed. Available follows the same logic.
Shopify Web Order/POS Order Channel.
This is where you get to set your pricing channel. The pricing channel allows you to control the price at which you sell your products on Shopify. You can learn more about channels here.
The POS Order Channel is also similar.
Shopify SKU
It's important you assign a unique SKU number to the products you send to Shopify via Uphance. You can do this using the product or variation identifiers.
Payment Terms and Invoicing Method
You can select your preferred payment terms and invoicing method for your Shopify store.
Shopify Brand
Do you have a specific brand of products in mind that you would like to push to Shopify from Uphance while hiding the rest? You can select the brand from the Shopify brand field.
Product Field and Location Mapping
To ensure a smooth product syncing, you must ensure that the product fields you have in Uphance match what you have in Shopify. For example, for color field in Uphance, you have to match it by indicating the name you use for color field in Shopify.
Besides color, you can match several other product fields in Uphance to Shopify.
For location mapping, this is where you get to match your store locations (which are the places you stock inventory, sell products and fulfill orders) to the warehouse location you have in Uphance.
Carriers
Have a specific set of carriers you would like to use for order fulfillment? You can add them with a few clicks of the button.
Shipping Line Code - this can be found in Shopify shipping settings. Usually, the carrier services you offer to your customer like Standard, Express, etc. This is case-sensitive and should have exact words found in the Shopify shipping settings. There are cases in the shipping line code that contain the same word which causes issues when pulling carries. We use regex "\b - to match the exact string" (as shown above).
